4th edition of the Durango International Film Festival, 4FICDU
Movies are back in theaters. In Durango the screens are prepared to offer the best stories. Welcome to the fourth edition of the Durango International Film Festival, the 4FICDU.
The 4FICDU will be executed in person from June 22-26, 2021, after seeking suspension last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Their selection will include national and international productions such as:
Tomatoes listen to Wagner (2019, Greece - Dir. Mariano Economou)
Death will come and it will have your eyes (2019, Chile, Argentina, Germany - Dir. José Luis Torres Leiva)
A Hidden Life (2019, United States, Germany - Dir. Terrence Malick)
The festival will feature career recognition for Mexican film directors and actors, a red carpet, visits to sets in Durango, and workshops on various topics.
It will have the presence of various institutions of national cinematography. Among the actors participating in the 4FICDU are Luz María Jerez and Nora Velázquez.
The 70th anniversary of the Mexican nationality of Luis Buñuel will be celebrated and for which the film Buñuel in the labyrinth of the turtles (2019, Dir. Salvador Simó, José María Fernández De Vega) will be exhibited. In addition to the documentary Un Buñuel Mexicano (1997, Dir. Emilio Maillé), an event attended by the director of the festival.
The FICDU will recognize Alfonso Rosas Priego and Sylvia Pasquel, for their career in Mexican cinematography. Both will receive the 'White Feather' trophy, FICDU's highest award.
