D'Argenta

D'Argenta Collection

The whole D'Argenta catalogue in one place: sculpture and home décor designed and finished by hand in our Mexico City workshop since 1976, in silver, 24-karat gold and copper, from wildlife and art licences to the dining table.

Pieces from $3,000 to $616,650 MXN

A Mexico City workshop since 1976

Every piece is still designed and finished by hand in our own workshop. Silver carries most of the collection, bright and cool; 24-karat gold appears whole or as an accent, and copper and matte black supply contrast, often over dark, stone-like bases. That shared palette is why luxury sculptures from very different themes sit together on one shelf.

Wildlife is the largest family, told through movement and kinship. The Black Copper Charging Bull Statue drops its head and bunches its shoulders in matte black, and the Silver Humpback Whale Mother & Calf Statue rises from a dark rock. Elsewhere a polar bear shelters her cubs and a bald eagle spreads its wings wide, all gathered in our animal sculptures.

Art licences and the cultures of Mexico

Dalí painted The Persistence of Memory in 1931; in The Persistence of Memory Silver Melting Clock Sculpture by Salvador Dalí the clock slides over its edge, gold hands and numerals on a dark face. Viva La Vida Painting Sculpture (Frida Kahlo) is a copper-toned watermelon slice with a silver owl perched on it, "Coyoacán 1954 México" written across the fruit, after the still life she painted in 1954, the year of her death. The Dalí pieces are made under a licence approved by the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí, and the Frida Kahlo pieces in collaboration with her family.

The Silver Elephant Sculpture by Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, created with the architect of the National Museum of Anthropology in his lifetime, is pure rounded volume in polished silver. Older Mexico appears in relief: Kukulkan, The Feathered Serpent Relief coils a silver serpent across a dark stone slab, the start of our Prehispanic art.

For the table, the home and remembrance

Home décor is treated as sculpture too. A tropical leaf fruit bowl reproduces every vein in silver, the Silver & Gold Flower Vase - The Flame gathers tongues of fire in both metals, and the UFO vases are rounded, hooded forms in mirror silver or bright colour. Our home décor collection and Judaica, with its long, textured Hanukkah menorah, carry that silver home decor further.

Our cremation urns are made with the same care. The Imperial Silver Cremation Urn is a silver casket covered in ornate scrollwork on curled feet, and tens of thousands of D'Argenta urns have been chosen by families in the United States, Canada, Australia and England. Every piece is protected by a resistant lacquer, so a soft, dry cloth keeps it bright; metal polish and cleaning agents are best avoided.

Frequently asked questions

Which pieces make the most meaningful luxury gifts?

It depends on the story: a Dalí or Frida Kahlo piece for someone who loves art, a whale with her calf for a new parent, a fruit bowl or a vase for a new home. An art advisor can help on a video call.

Silver, gold or copper: how do the finishes differ?

Silver is bright and cool and reflects the room around it; 24-karat gold is warm and glows in low light; copper and matte black are quieter and bring out relief and silhouette. Many pieces combine two, like the silver owl on Frida's copper-toned watermelon.

Can a cremation urn be engraved?

Yes. Engraving is available on request, and an art advisor can guide the family through the choice of urn and inscription with discretion. Every piece carries our lifetime guarantee covering manufacturing defects, and we ship throughout Mexico from Mexico City.
