This piece embodies the powerful and majestic leopard.

The name 'leopard' is thought to derive from a Greek compound of λέων 'leōn', meaning lion, and πάρδος 'pardos', meaning spotted.

The leopard's skin colour varies between individuals, from pale yellowish to dark golden, with dark spots grouped in rosettes which, in our sculptures, are carved to make them visible.
