Since its creation, the automobile appeared in the 20th century as an artistic symbol of modernity, youth, energy, strength, boldness, movement, innovation, progress and independence. In his painting, Dressed Automobiles, Dalí_ creates a new dissociation of ideas: he elegantly dresses a Cadillac with garments worthy of haute couture, giving it glamour and distinction.
